Mission Statement
As an institution preparing students for professional careers in art, Paier College of Art, Incorporated, is committed to a program of learning and services that provides intensive practice in art skills; development in art expression; studies in general education and opportunities for growth in human values; career programs leading to Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate in Fine Arts degrees; concentrated study programs leading to diploma and certificate awards; advice and counsel to aid students in their pursuit of educational, vocational, and personal goals; opportunities of continuing education through part-time, evening, and summer studies; and extra-curricular activities designed to advance student awareness of social and cultural values.

Student Work
The College may exhibit student work and photograph it and student activities for use in catalogs and other visual communication. While the College takes reasonable care to protect student work, it does not accept responsibility for its loss or damage.

Facilities
The campus is situated at the corner of Circular and Gorham Avenues. Administrative activities, including admissions, personnel matters, consideration and disbursement of financial aid, maintenance of student records, and general administration, are conducted in the business offices on campus. Also, instructional activities in classrooms, studios, and laboratories designed for the College's purposes are conducted in four buildings: the library, the auditorium, the computer labs, and studio and exhibition spaces. Maximum class size is 25 in studio classes and 45 in lecture classes.

Parking
Limited parking space is available for students on campus. On-street parking is also available.

Accreditation, Approval & Memberships

Paier College is accredited by the Connecticut Board of Governors of Higher Education and has been granted authority by the Connecticut Legislature to award the degrees of Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate of Fine Arts. The College is also accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). The College is approved for the education and training of veterans and their eligible dependents under the provisions of Section 1775, Chapter 36, Title 38, United States Code, Veterans Benefits. Paier College of Art, Incorporated, is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. Paier College of Art is a member of the International Council of Design Schools, and is an educational member of the Society of Illustrators.

Student Conduct
The College is dedicated to serving as an educational setting in which all students may develop their skills and knowledge. To encourage this purpose, the College expects students to respect the rights of others, to adhere to acceptable standards of personal conduct, and to exercise freedom with maturity and responsibility. Students are expected further to comply with the policies and regulations described in the Student Handbook and other official publications of the College. Conduct inconsistent with these expectations may result in disciplinary actions. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to, academic dishonesty; damage to school property; disorderly or disruptive conduct; and the use, sale, or possession of illegal drugs, narcotics, or dangerous weapons; consumption of alcohol on campus, or at any school-sponsored activity; acting with disrespect toward a member of the school staff or another student. Possible sanctions include financial restitution, suspension, and dismissal from the College with due concern for the procedural rights of all students.
